Simple Skincare: How to get your perfect skin

I've been spending the past few weeks getting to know myself and the "skin I'm in". Quite literally.

I remember being fourteen and pimply and thinking that good skin was a complete myth, but since getting older and wiser (ha!) I've realised that skin comes in MILLIONS of different types and it's all about knowing what's good for your type.

Basically, because Elizabeth Arden cream works on 8972364 celebrities, it doesn't necessarily mean it'll work on you.

Because finding out what works for you can be quite a long and gruelling process, I seriously begrudge "just trying out" expensive products. Honestly, I can't really afford to spend £40 on a face cream that claims to work miracles when actually, a pot of Sudocrem is just as effective.

That's why, when I was approached by Simple Skincare, I was more than happy to write up a review. Not just because they sent me freebies, but because actually, even if they hadn't, these are all products that I (and you!) can afford to test out. And, if they're not for you, then you didn't break the bank.

Here are the products I tried:

1. Kind to Skin Protecting Light Moisturiser
This is what I use as my everyday moisturiser. It makes my skin feel so silky and healthy, and works absolute wonders on my dry areas (around my nose, especially). I just know this is going to be a lifesaver in Winter when the cold weather is drying up my face.

2. Kind to Skin Moisture Boost Hydro Mist
This was PERFECT on those really painfully hot Summer days. A couple of weeks ago, I went to a wedding and it was pretty much the hottest day this year. Being in a pencil skirt wasn't must fun - neither was my sweaty face. BUT with a spritz of this bad boy, I felt instantly cool and refreshed and bonus - you can even wear it over make-up! It's the perfect travelling essential - mine is always in my handbag!

3. Kind to Skin+ Sunkissed Moisture Cream
The 'Kind to Skin+' range is "more than everyday skincare". With the same goodness as the original Kind to Skin range, but with some added bonuses that help protect, illuminate and perfect your skin. This moisturiser is also a gradual tanner. I've been looking for something like this for a while - as an avid user of Dove's gradual tanning body lotion, I felt that my face was a little bit lacking in the bronzed Goddess department. This moisturiser has tanning agents that enhance the skin's colour, and give it that gorgeous, "have you just been on holiday" look that we all secretly long for.

4. Kind to Skin+ Brightening Eye Make Up Remover Pads
I don't wear a lot of eye make-up: just liner and a tad of mascara, but it's still an absolute PAIN to remove. I can't be bothered to faff around with potions and lotions - I just want something that does the trick with one slick movement. Oh wait, that's EXACTLY what these amazing pads of goodness do! Now, removing my eye make-up isn't a mammoth task, it's just a 5 second job. Perfect for lazy girls like me!

After trying these, I'm desperate to try the BB Balm - if anyone has it this please let me know what it's like!
